With that in mind, I am happy to be approached by charities and other good causes about supporting them and their campaigns. Please be aware though that personal experiences and opinions will tend to dictate whether or not I support a particular charity or charitable campaign.
If you would like to approach me about possibly working with your charity, please do email me. I currently support:
I am a 'ONE Mum', a charity amabassador for the organisation, ONE. ONE is a grassroots advocacy and campaigning organisation that fights extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa. It was co-founded by Bono, Bob Geldof and others and is backed by more than two and half million people.
My posts about ONE
London is an urban hub for wildlife crime; where animal parts (and even secretions) are smuggled, bought and sold. The Metropolitan Police's Wildlife Crime Unit is responsible for tackling this crime and bringing these criminals to justice but its budgets have been slashed. The charity has given £100,000 to the unit ensure it has the money it needs to do its job. Now, the WSPA's Cruelty in a Concrete Jungle campaign is calling on whomever becomes London Mayor after the elections on Thursday 3 May 2012 to commit to raising funding levels for the Wildlife Crime Unit.
